- Attraction 2: Invasion (6.6/10)
Cool concept but poor execution. It didn't help that the Russian film was dubbed so it looked a bit off. It is a sci-fi film about a woman who develops dangerous new abilities after coming in contact with extraterrestrial technology. I don't recommend watching.
- Wildlife (7.5/10)
This was a solid drama. It portrays the hardships of a family in the 1960s. The father decides to set off to fight wildfires, leaving his wife and son to fend for themselves. Forced into the role of an adult, Joe witnesses his mother's struggle as she tries to keep her head above water.
- #Alive (7.5/10)
This was a South Korean zombie film on Netflix. The movie had a different take from your typical zombie apocalypse movie because it is shown through the eyes of a teen. It was above average and worth watching if you like horror/zombie films.
- Rent-A-Pal (4.8/10)
Not worth viewing. Sub-par film where the last 10 minutes were actually decent but not worth watching because the rest of the film was not entertaining.
- The Take (6.7/10)
Good action-packed movie. If you are bored, this a movie that will keep your interest. Good action and a great cast with Idris Alba and Richard Madden. It is about a rogue CIA agent partnering with a pickpocketer to stop a terrorist conspiracy in Paris.
- Enola Holmes (8.1/10)
This movie is targeted at younger audiences but was enjoyable. I don't recommend it to adults unless you are watching with your children. Millie Bobbie Brown did an amazing job as Sherlock Holmes' sister in the film. The film was well executed and exceeded my expectations.
- The Devil All the Time (6.5/10)
The ending was the best part of a mediocre movie. It was hard watch since the beginning was hard to follow and slow. Tom Holland did a great job but his character did not appear until the 2nd half of the movie. The film was about a young man who is devoted to protecting his loved ones in a town full of corruption and sinister characters. It was pretty sad as well. Can be skipped in my opinion.
- Honey Boy (7.3/10)
Honey Boy got higher reviews than what I would have given. It was a good movie, not a great movie. The story is based on Shia Leboeuf's childhood and he plays his own father in the film. The main character, Otis, plays young Shia when he was 12 years old and tells the story of his alcoholic and abusive father.
- Hubie Halloween (6.1/10)
This was your classic Adam Sandler comedy. A little below his average performance but it is similar to roles such as Happy Gilmore, Mr. Deeds, Billy Madison, The Waterboy, etc. Not highly recommended but a decent Halloween comedy for around this time in October.
- Antebellum (7.8/10)
I don't know why this movie received such terrible reviews. I thought Jordan Peele did a great job per usual in another movie that makes you think. Once you get through the first half of the movie it picks up from there. Its rotten tomatoes score was very low but don't let that stop you from watching it.
- His House (7.5/10)
His House is about a refugee couple that make an escape from war-torn South Sudan. They struggle to adjust to their new life in an English town that has evil lurking beneath the surface. It is a solid horror film to watch on Netflix but otherwise nothing that special.
- Sea Fever (7.4/10)
Very interesting concept. Being afraid of the ocean for this horror movie was right up my alley. It was a mic of horror, drama, and sci-fi. I really liked it but others may not see it the same way. The sci-fi aspects were interesting to see in the ending.
