This is an 1987 Crime/thriller loosely based off of Al Capone. I read this was mostly fictionalized but it made for a great film nonetheless! Lots of studs in this film featuring Sean Connery, Robert De Niro, Andy Garcia, and Kevin Costner. " After building an empire with bootleg alcohol, legendary crime boss Al Capone (Robert De Niro) rules Chicago with an iron fist. Though Prohibition agent Eliot Ness (Kevin Costner) attempts to take Capone down, even his best efforts fail due to widespread corruption within the Windy City's police force. Recruiting an elite group of lawmen who won't be swayed by bribes or fear, including Irish-American cop Jimmy Malone (Sean Connery), Ness renews his determination to bring Capone to justice."

For a 1984 film, this didn't seem too outdated given the plot, the picture quality though definitely was. Acting and storyline was interesting, if I hadn't read the description before the movie started, I would have had no idea what was going on. It is slowpaced but hits on all the emotions to make for a really solid film. " A disheveled man who wanders out of the desert, Travis Henderson (Harry Dean Stanton) seems to have no idea who he is. When a stranger manages to contact his brother, Walt (Dean Stockwell), Travis is awkwardly reunited with his sibling. Travis has been missing for years, and his presence unsettles Walt and his family, which also includes Travis's own son, Hunter (Hunter Carson). Soon Travis must confront his wife, Jane (Nastassja Kinski), and try to put his life back together."

I can't explain this movie but it was so entertaining. There is a lot of nudity so not a family film. It was a mix of comedy/romance/mystery/suspense. I am having trouble writing about it because it was also bizarre . Make sure you read into it because I'm sure it's not for everyone. It had a good ending as well " Anora, a young woman from Brooklyn, gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and marries the son of an oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as the parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled."

This is a brand new 2025 Apple TV film starring Myles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy. I do want to emphasize this movie is a mix of sci-fi/romance/action so if you aren't a fan of Sci-Fi this wont be for you. I was surprised by how much romance was in this film that it took over most of the plot but I was there for it. I also want to mention the visual effects were awesome so ideally you should watch on a solid tv in the dark, it's not a daytime movie. " Two highly-trained operatives are appointed to posts in guard towers on opposite sides of a vast and highly classified gorge, protecting the world from a mysterious evil that lurks within. They work together to keep the secret in the gorge."

Back to back Will Ferrell movies where I have been heavily let down. You don't need to watch this new film. " A woman planning her sister's ideal wedding and the father of a bride-to-be discover their destination weddings at a remote resort are double-booked. When both parties decide to share the small venue, chaos ensues and disaster awaits."

Not a the best film and can be left of the radar. I don't know how this got any decent reviews, bizarre film. " Annette (Reese Witherspoon) unwittingly becomes a pawn in Sebastian's (Ryan Phillippe) and Kathryn's (Sarah Michelle Gellar) deliciously diabolical wager of sexual conquest when she writes an article in Seventeen Magazine about how she intends to stay pure until she marries her boyfriend. However, Sebastian gets more than he bargained for as he attempts to woo Annette into his bed."

As you can tell I have been in a movie rut. Finally, a film on my watchlist that delivered. Prime Ryan Reynold's killed in this film. A good RomCom to add to your list. " Will Hayes (Ryan Reynolds), a thirtysomething Manhattanite, is in the middle of divorce proceedings when his young daughter (Abigail Breslin) asks him about his life before marriage, including how he met and fell in love with her mother. Will flashes back to 1992 and recounts his romances with three women, changing their names so that his daughter must guess which one became his wife."

Didn't realize Hugh Grant is an every RomCom from 1997 - 2004. This one missed the mark. Both Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant's characters were both very cringe. " Dedicated environmental lawyer Lucy Kelson (Sandra Bullock) goes to work for billionaire George Wade (Hugh Grant) as part of a deal to preserve a community center. Indecisive and weak-willed George grows dependent on Lucy's guidance on everything from legal matters to clothing. Exasperated, Lucy gives notice and picks Harvard graduate June Carter (Alicia Witt) as her replacement. As Lucy's time at the firm nears an end, she grows jealous of June and has second thoughts about leaving George."

I was excited going into a 2006 Will Ferrell comedy film but this wasn't a comedy at all and it wasn't the best concept. It didn't fit Will Ferrell at all either. " A mentally unstable IRS auditor (Will Ferrell) hears an author's (Emma Thompson) voice in his head and discovers that he is the ill-fated protagonist of her latest work. While a book-company employee (Queen Latifah) tries to cure the author's case of writer's block, the auditor and a professor (Dustin Hoffman) set out to find the woman and make her change her story."

I can't believe I watched this given the description. It was just a bit too silly for me. A 1996 horror/mystery about witches that barely had any horror. " After transferring to a Los Angeles high school, Sarah (Robin Tunney) finds that her telekinetic gift appeals to a group of three wannabe witches, who happen to be seeking a fourth member for their rituals. Bonnie (Neve Campbell), Rochelle (Rachel True) and Nancy (Fairuza Balk), like Sarah herself, all have troubled backgrounds, which combined with their nascent powers lead to dangerous consequences. When a minor spell causes a fellow student to lose her hair, the girls grow power-mad."

This 1985 thriller starring Harrison Ford was probably electric for its time but has now become a bit outdated. Still a good watch! " Detective John Book is assigned to guard Amish mother Rachel Lapp and her son Samuel, who witnessed a murder in the toilets at Philadelphia station. However, the killers are after them and the three must hide out in Lapp's community, where Book's aggressive, hard-bitten manner clashes with the gentler beliefs of the Amish."

Not sure how this 2008 comedy/thriller got such high reviews. I wasn't the biggest fan, it was boring, had almost zero action, and felt like it was already outdates even though it was filmed in 2008. " After a particularly difficult job, hit men Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ken (Brendan Gleeson) head to Belgium to hide out until things cool down. Ray hates the medieval city they land in, but Ken finds its beauty and peacefulness enchanting. Their experiences become increasingly surreal and possibly life-changing as they encounter tourists, locals, an American dwarf and a potential romance for Ray."
