P.S. I Love You (6.4/10)

Nicole had been wanting me to watch this 2007 RomCom film with her. As much as I loved the premise, I think the execution fell a bit short. Some scenes felt overly sentimental or just plain cringey, and certain bits of dialogue didn’t land the way they were meant to. Still, the emotional core is strong, and there’s something touching about how the film explores love, loss, and moving on — even if it could’ve used a more subtle hand. "When Gerry (Gerard Butler), the husband of Holly Kennedy (Hilary Swank), dies from an illness, she loses the love of her life. Knowing how hard Holly will take his death, Gerry plans ahead. Beginning on her 30th birthday, she receives the first in a series of letters written by him, designed to ease her grief and encourage her to move forward to a new life."
