I understand this film was critically acclaimed. I thought the acting was 10/10. However, the pace and subject of the movie was really hard to get through. It was 2 hours and 38 minutes of boredom. The acting is what helped beefed up this score/ "Renowned musician Lydia Tár is days away from recording the symphony that will elevate her career. When all elements seem to conspire against her, Lydia's adopted daughter Petra becomes an integral emotional support for her struggling mother."

I was not fine after watching 25 minutes of this movie. I had to call it quits. "Vanessa embarks on a solo trip after the death of her best friend, Jennifer. However, her self-care plans change when she finds Jennifer standing in her kitchen, claiming to be an extraterrestrial."

This is a drama starring Mila Kunis and Glenn Close. It shows the hardship of drug addiction and the tough road back to recovery. I thought the acting was 10/10. Just typically not the movie people would want to watch given the storyline. "Emerging from a detox clinic, a young addict tries to stay clean while living with her mother for the next four days."

Not the best film out there. Very Mediocre. Would not recommend this comedy / drama. "A homegrown hustler decides to become a debt collector in a desperate bid to escape her own money problems and her hometown of Buffalo, New York."

This film flew under my radar in 2014 and saw it on Hulu. It is a drama about "a desperate construction worker (Andrew Garfield) reluctantly accepts a job with the ruthless real-estate broker (Michael Shannon) who evicted him and his family from their home." I recommend watching it if you want to watch a solid drama with great acting.

A solid film. A nice story starring Jake Johnson. An easy short movie for some feel good moments. "A man's estranged mother dies and leaves him a conditional inheritance. Before he can move into her picturesque cabin, he has to complete her to-do list and step into his mother's world as she tries to make amends from beyond the grave."

Not a film to have on your list. Good cast, bad concept. "The discovery that their house is haunted by a ghost named Ernest makes Kevin's family a social media sensation. But when Kevin and Ernest get to the bottom of the mystery of Ernest's past, they become targets of the CIA."

This was bad. Not worth anybody's time. Horrible acting all around as well. "A light-skinned Black woman's meticulously crafted life of privilege starts to unravel when two strangers show up in her quaint suburban town."

"A rebellious young graffiti artist targets the homes of the wealthy elite but discovers a shocking secret that leads him on a journey endangering himself and those closest to him." I thought this movie had a great storyline and cast, but there was some missing information throughout the movie I wish they would have explained more. Not a bad watch on Netflix.

Some hot garbage. A feel good story that was just silly. "Two years after NFL head coach Sean Payton is suspended, he goes back to his hometown and finds himself reconnecting with his 12-year-old son by coaching his Pop Warner football team."

A danish film on Netflix that received some recognition as a "hidden gem". I enjoyed the plot a ton but I think it could have been executed better. Would like a remake in English i the future. "The thin line between love and hate turns deadly when a woman discovers her husband's affair. They both take extreme measures to get what they want, but both of them quickly realize that they are heading towards a dark place."

This is a heartfelt drama about a true story about a boy living in a small village in Africa doing anything he can to help his family during hard financial times. The acting was great but the story is one that left me thinking about it afterwards. "A 13-year-old boy is thrown out of the school he loves when his family can no longer afford the fees. He sneaks into the library and learns how to build a windmill to save his village from a famine."
