I went into this film after hearing it was supposedly the scariest horror movie of the year. While it does deliver some genuinely intense moments, most of the scares are saved for the final 20 minutes. The first 70 minutes rely heavily on slow-building suspense, but I found the pacing too drawn out and the payoff wasn't enough to justify the wait. Unless you're a dedicated horror fan, this isn't a film I'd recommend. Even for horror enthusiasts, there are stronger and more rewarding options available. "A podcast host covering spooky content moves in to care for her dying mother. When sent recordings of a pregnant couple's paranormal encounters, she discovers their story parallels hers, each tape pushing her toward madness."
