The Substance (9.1/10)

I first want to point out that this movie is not for everyone. It is a horror/sci-fi/thriller that happens to be one of my favorite genres. The movie is bizarre but I loved it and its underlying themes. The ending was a little bit too much over the top for my liking. There is a ton of nudity as well so please be advised. "Elisabeth Sparkle, renowned for an aerobics show, faces a devastating blow on her 50th birthday as her boss fires her. Amid her distress, a laboratory offers her a substance which promises to transform her into an enhanced version of herself."
