A 9.8. I haven't rated a movie above a 9.4 in a long, long time, but this one earned it.

This is a film that absolutely deserves to be seen in IMAX or at least on the biggest screen possible. I genuinely don't think it will have the same impact watching it at home on a TV. The scale, visuals, and overall experience are simply too impressive. Every actor delivers an outstanding performance. Matt Damon is phenomenal, and Christopher Nolan once again proves why he's one of the greatest directors working today and ever. I honestly don't see how this film doesn't walk away with Best Picture, Best Director, and several other major awards. I tend to gravitate toward Nolan's films, especially those with science fiction elements, so keep that in mind. If mythological stories and creatures aren't really your thing, you may not love it quite as much as I did, but I still think you'll enjoy it immensely. One thing I also loved was learning how the film was made. The production behind it is fascinating and absolutely worth reading about after you've seen it."Odysseus, king of Ithaca, embarks on a perilous journey to return home after the Trojan War. Crossing the Mediterranean Sea with his fellow soldiers, they soon find themselves battling not only the elements, but an array of deadly obstacles and mythical creatures along the way."
