Power of the Dog (5.8/10)

Yes I watched a Western back to back nights. Do I regret it? Entirely. Both movies were rated so high that I wanted to give them a shot. However, this film was boring and depressing. It was really hard to get through. The acting was great and the character development was awesome but the movie itself just did not make a huge impact on me. A domineering rancher responds with mocking cruelty when his brother brings home a new wife and her son, until the unexpected comes to pass.
