Over Your Dead Body (6.3/10)

This is a fun thriller, but it’s impossible to take seriously. The premise is so over-the-top that it never feels grounded, and the addition of even more eccentric characters only pushes it further into absurdity. As much as I enjoy Jason Segel as an actor, this role never felt like the right fit for him. His performance leans into the familiar comedic style audiences expect, but it doesn’t add enough to elevate the material. A different casting choice might have brought more balance to the film’s chaotic tone. While there are a few entertaining moments, the story never comes together in a satisfying way, leaving the humor and suspense competing instead of complementing each other.
