Obsession (9.4/10)

For those who don't know, one of my favorite genres is psychological horror. Every so often, a film comes along that really scratches that itch. I love movies like Get Out, Talk to Me, and Sorry to Bother You, and this film fits comfortably into that category while leaning even further into horror. If you're not a horror fan, I don't think you'll enjoy this one as much as I did. The cast, made up of actors I wasn't familiar with, delivered strong performances across the board. The story is simple yet refreshingly unique, and by the time the credits roll, you'll probably be asking yourself, "What did I just watch?" "After breaking the mysterious "One Wish Willow" to win his crush's heart, a hopeless romantic gets exactly what he asked for. However, he soon discovers that some desires come at a dark and sinister price."
