This is a semi-autobiographical film that illustrates a bunch of emotions like the power of love, forgiveness, hate, and addiction. It was a powerful, slow drama that had a great ending. André Holland was the primary actor in this film and killed it in this performance. "A Black artist finds his path to success derailed by an unexpected visit from his estranged father, a recovering addict desperate to reconcile. Together, they learn that forgetting might be harder than forgiving."
