I went into this film not knowing what to expect, but I definitely expected more. About halfway through, I found myself losing interest in the plot and struggling to stay engaged.
Lately, I’ve noticed a pattern with some of the movies I’ve been watching—strong performances, interesting concepts, and solid filmmaking on the surface, but something just doesn’t fully come together to make the experience captivating. This falls into that category. The acting is good, and the story itself is intriguing, but the execution never quite pulls you in.
I’m usually drawn to true stories, which made this even more surprising. Despite the real-life premise, it just didn’t land for me. "On Feb. 8, 1977, disgruntled real-estate developer Tony Kiritsis takes mortgage broker Richard Hall hostage, keeping him tied up in his apartment with a sawed-off shotgun pointed at his chest."
