- Captive State (5.6/10)
This movie was so confusing and I had no idea what really happened until the end and there are still questions unanswered. The plot in the beginning seemed cool but didn't pan out the way I would have expected.
- Spider-Man: Far From Home (8.5/10)
Stellar film. Marvel keeps making movies better and better and incorporating technology on a new level. The visual effects were amazing and the movie is recommended. It would make more sense to watch Avengers Endgame before but if you are not a true Marvel fan, this is a movie you can still watch and love all of its glory.
- Point Blank (5.4/10)
Felt like a poorly made long Black Mirror episode. Don't need to watch.
- Crawl (7.1/10)
Surprising high score. Movie was entertaining and action-packed. It was interesting to follow and understand the characters development and struggle. My only concern is that watching this movie on a regular tv can make it seem silly compared to a theater screen.
- Secret Obsession (3.4/10)
If you watch the trailer there is no point in watching this movie. I watched the first 40 mins and realized the acting was terrible and that I knew everything that was going to happen.
- The Lion King (7.6/10)
I thought the movie was really good. The music was great with Donald Glover and Beyonce taking the leads. There are some parts of the movie where the animals seemed too realistic that they looked silly talking. Also, having Mufasa being played by James Earl Jones was hard to listen to because he is also the voice of Darth Vader. Overall, good film.
- The Mule (6.9/10)
I haven't watched many Clint Eastwood films in my days but he showed up in this movie. However, I felt the supporting cast did a better job and Bradley Cooper should have had more screen time given his role in the movie. The movie is about a drug mule and shows how shipment gets moved around the country. The movie was a little slow at times but a good performance all around.
- Skin (5.8/10)
Not the best film. Very uncomfortable plot. However, one of the best transformations I have seen by a character.
- The Red Sea Diving Resort (6.5/10)
Not a bad film. Usually Netflix movies aren't the best but Chris Evans did a great job in his role. The other actors were cringeworthy at times but the movie's execution played out well and emphasized an interesting issue on our planet.
- Gemini Man (6.8/10)
I had low expectations coming into this movie. Its rotten tomatoes score is 26%. However, its audience score is 83%, which I agree with more. I enjoyed the plot and the character development. There is plenty of action and Will Smith did a great job, which I usually don't say about most his movies.
- Hobbs & Shaw (5.9/10)
Part of this movie that was really good was the thrilling action scenes. However, when it came down to basic acting, having Jason Statham and The Rock as a duo can be tough. The movie itself had a much better second half. Idris Alba did a great job and was by far the best actor in the film. This is the highest movie I have rated with The Rock. Good for him. Hopefully he can make it to the 6's one day.
- IT 2 (7.3/10)
Very solid film. I thought it wasn't as good of a story as the first IT and a bit too long. However, it had more pop-outs and scarier moments which I enjoyed. Worth seeing but make sure you watch the first one beforehand.
