  • Ma (6.7/10)

Started off a bit slow and some of the kid actors had poor performances throughout the movie. However, the second half turned around and the movie got very entertaining. I don't want to give much away but the ending was great and Octavia Spencer had a performance that should have received more credit.

  • Ad Astra (7.5/10)

Brad Pitt did an incredible job in his role. The movie takes place in the future so some scenes in the movie seemed a bit unrealistic and overdramatic. In terms of space movies, it does not surpass Interstellar but it is better than The Martian, Gravity, First Man and Life. Worth watching, especially in IMAX while the movie is at the theater.

  • Beats (7.4/10)

The movie surprised me. I was scrolling through Netflix and remembered that I wanted to watch it. I didn't think there was going to be much of a story besides a kid trying to make beats, but the movie exceeded expectations and impressed me. Cool movie to listen to with the beats.

  • In The Tall Grass (5.9/10)

This is a new Netflix film. I thought the acting was average and plot was amazing but could have gone in a different direction in terms of execution. The ending was much better than the first half of the movie. It was a "horror" film so a 5.9 isn't too shabby.

  • John Wick Parabellum (6.5/10)

Very good action and fight scenes as expected. The plot was good but the movie itself just seemed a bit silly. The first John Wick was my favorite and they should have have stopped after one. The second and third just seem like comedies at this point.

  • The Art of Self-Defense (5.5/10)

Not a fan. The plot never became interesting and near the end the movie was boring, when it should have made it more suspenseful. It's a pass for me.

  • LUCE (7.4/10)

This is a twisted psychological thriller that keep you on the edge of your chair the whole way through. Both main roles did an amazing job in the film. Definitely recommend watching this movie even though at times it was slow.

  • Zombie-Land: Double Tap (6.8/10)

Not close to the first Zombie-Land and seemed like a copy but still a classic comedy. I didn't think there was anything too special that made it stand out. I think it was just similar to the first and a little worse. If you need a comedy to watch this may fulfill what you are looking for.

  • Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark (6.3/10)

Decently scary compared to a bunch of movies but I try to stay away from horror movies that are only rated PG-13 since they mean for a younger age to be able to watch and not be as scary. This movie was an average horror film. Nothing really stood out to me.

  • The Peanut Butter Falcon (7.2/10)

Movie is about a man with down syndrome befriending an outlaw who becomes an ally. Shia LeBoeuf does an amazing job and it's the type of character I have never seen him portray. The story is a feel good drama.

  • Blinded By The Light (8.1)

This film is about a Pakistani teenager who experiences racial and economic turmoil in England. The movie is not so much about Bruce Springsteen but about how his music impacted the life of this Pakistani boy. Viveik Kalra did a tremendous job playing his role. There were some cheesy scenes but overall a very good film that had many feel-good moments.

  • The Haunt (6.5/10)

This movie is about a group of friends that encounter an extreme haunted house that promises to feed on their darkest fears. I gave this a decently high score for a horror film. Probably one of the more scary movies I have seen in a while. Worth watching if you are a horror fan. The acting was average as expected but the concept was interesting enough.
