  • Midway (6.5/10)

This movie had a great cast but their lines were cheesy, which made the actors worse. The action scenes were something to watch for, however, at some points the SGI in the background just seemed silly. I would not recommend this movie unless you want a great true story, which this one had, just not executed as well as it should have.

  • Doctor Sleep (7.2/10)

This is a sequel to Stephen King's The Shining. I had high expectations for this movie and it ended up falling below of what I had imagined. The first half of the movie was hard to get through and the film was too long for the type of movie it is. Ewan McGregor did a great job in his role I just thought the plot of the film did not play a valuable role until the 2nd half.

  • JoJo Rabbit (7.1/10)

Odd movie. Good but nothing special. It was a comedy about a young boy during WWII who is German and thinks he is a Nazi. The movie was nominated for some Oscars but I did not believe it was at that level.

  • Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (8.6/10)

I loved this movie. This is the type of movie I live for. Obviously superb acting with the cast of Pitt, DiCaprio, and Robbie. A little slow in the beginning and some extra nonsense to make the movie longer than it needs to be, but I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

  • Uncut Gems (7.9/10)

Good movie all around. Adam Sandler did a great job playing his role as a jewelry seller and highlighting his character's addiction to betting. The movie dipped in rating because there are many different small stories happening around Adam Sandler in the movie that went unanswered. Some plots points were confusing and the supporting cast wasn't anything special. However, Kevin Garnett is much better than expected.

  • 1917 (8.6/10)

I really enjoyed this film. It deserved all of the recognition it has been getting recently. The camerawork shot throughout the movie going along with their journey without cuts was unbelievable to watch. Definitely worth seeing while in theaters.

  • Driven (7.3/10)

This film is about John DeLorean and his iconic DeLorean Motor Company, shown through his friendship with a pilot caught for transporting cocaine, but then, turned FBI informant, Jim Hoffman (Jason Sudeikis). Everything about this movie was solid. The story, cast, and execution. Nothing too memorable, just a solid film.

  • After Class (6.4/10)

This movie is listed as a comedy even though it was more of a drama with a small amount of comedic relief. The filmed seemed like nothing to me. Specifically, half of the plot points ended up going unanswered and the storyline in the end did not seem finished. It was an odd film to watch and I feel that the character's actions in the movie were bland and boring. I kept waiting for a funny moment to happen and there wasn't.

  • Avengers Infinity War (8.9/10)

There are certain movies that come to mind when you think of the best Villains. The Joker, Bane, Darth Vader, Loki, Hannibal Lecter, and Buffalo Bill. What makes Infinity War unique is Thanos, probably the biggest villain in the movie universe, want to promote a positive change in society, but that still made him a villain. He talks with sophistication and intelligence on what he plans to do throughout the movie. My only criticism for the movie is that there were too many plot points and it was hard to keep track of which superhero was where throughout the movie. https://www.cnet.com/news/heres-why-thanos-is-the-best-marvel-villain-yet/

  • A Simple Favor (7.4/10)

I thought this movie played out well. It was a big mystery and kept viewers on their toes wondering what was going to play out. Blake Lively plays a character out of her element that is hard to get used to in the beginning and Anna Kendrick was a bit annoying, but highly recommended.

  • Searching (6.4/10)

This movie got really high ratings that I just do not agree with. The first 45 minutes of the movie was extremely boring and almost seemed pointless. It seemed like a failed attempt at extra suspense. However, the second half of the movie picked up. The 2nd half was more in the 7 rating range so if you aren't opposed to a little waiting, this movie is a solid choice.

  • Free Solo (6/10)

I gave this film a flat 6 score just because the story and the task is so amazing. However, the film is way too long. Very boring and repetitive at times. Wished it was only an hour long vs 1 hour and 40 mins. Not recommended unless you are interested in rock climbing and dangerous tasks to prepare for. I would have rather just watched the highlights of his famous climb rather than the whole documentary.
