  • A Quiet Place: Part Two (8.3/10)

One of the better films you will see out there this summer. I recommend watching the first movie that came out in 2018. Part two picks up directly where Part one left off. The movie was short and sweet. Emily Blunt and the teen actors did a great job and there are rumors of a Quiet Place being 4 parts so I recommend starting to watch this series.

  • Fatale (7.7/10)

The execution and thrill of this movie met my expectations, however, the acting at times was hard to watch. Once you look past that aspect, the scenario created in the movie was exhilarating and keeps you on your toes, eager to find out what happens in the end.

  • Promising Young Woman (7.5/10)

Well executed film that institutes moral values and lessons. It was a dark comedy, thriller, mystery, and more. It was a unique film that came together in the end nicely and had a perfect ending.

  • Alone (7.9/10)

This movie is disturbing but has you on the edge of your seat. The acting and casting for this film was exceptional. As can be seen from its description online, it is about a serial killer. However, I wouldn't read much into it and just watch the movie for what it is instead of spoiling it for yourself by creating expectations beforehand.

  • Army of the Dead (7.5/10)

Zack Snyder exceeded my expectations. I thought it was going to be like a World War Z film - just a lot worse. It wasn’t too shabby. He had a different take on zombies and what they could become. If you are interested in the Walking Dead, World War Z, or other zombie films, you should give this one a try. I am now intrigued to watch his version of Justice League.

  • Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (8.1/10)

Of all 8 movies of this saga, this one was my favorite. It had elements of horror, mystery, and thriller. It offered a great storyline that was easy to follow and had the audience always aware of the minor details. If you want to watch a scary movie, this should be at the top of the list right now.

  • Mortal Kombat (7.6/10)

I knew nothing about the movie before watching it. It offered some of the better action and fight scenes you will see in today's movies. The storyline exceeded my expectations as it was easy to follow. If you like a ton of action and can stand some blood, I recommend this film.

  • Godzilla Vs. Kong (5.8)

Great action. Cheesy film. Would pass on it unless you are craving some monsters throwing right hooks at each other.

  • Irresistible (6.6/10)

Average comedy. A Democratic political consultant helps a retired Marine colonel run for mayor in a small Wisconsin town. It had a lot of potential with Steve Carrel as the main actor. Scenes were too cheesy and the acting did not add up to the standards it should have. However, I thought the ending was clever and well done.

  • Volition (8.2/10)

This was a unique movie. It is about a man possessing clairvoyance who tries to change his fate. It was well executed and another sci-fi/mind bending thriller. It won a bunch of smaller festival awards. I recommend watching this. It went under the radar in 2019.

  • The Little Things (7.4/10)

For the amount of recognition this movie is receiving, it is overrated. While most of the pieces fit nicely together throughout the movie, it still seemed a bit off. Denzel and Jared Leto did a great job but besides that, the acting was sub-par for the amount of money that went into this film. Not the best, but if you want to watch something current, it’s not a worst choice.

  • Honest Thief (7.1/10)

This is your classic Liam Neeson film. Lots of action where he has the ability to fight well. Nothing too special about the film. It has the same intensity as his other movies such as The Commuter, Non-Stop, and Taken.
