- Summer of 84 (7.5/10)
I was surprised by this movie since it was looked over in 2018. It is another serial killer movie. Very well done even with some kid actors. Somewhat of a psychological thriller.
- Villain (6.1/10)
Good action and decent plot. The story wasn't good enough and the acting was pretty poor. I wouldn't watch this and don't know why I did.
- Big Time Adolescent (7.4/10)
Yes I watched two Pete Davidson movies back to back. Just happened to show up scrolling on Hulu. This movie wasn't as good as the King of Staten Island but was better than average. It is listed as a comedy but is more of a drama.
- The King of Staten Island (8.2/10)
This movie surpassed my expectations by a ton. I thought it was going to be a dumb comedy but it was more than that. It was a mix of comedy and drama and went into Pete Davidsons life to a degree. He also did a very good job acting, which surprised me the most.
- Bad Education (8.0/10)
Bad Education is about a long island high superintendent creating a positive impact on the school. However, there is an embezzlement scheme from some folks within the school system. This is also a true story. This movie is listed as a comedy/drama but it is all drama. Hugh Jackman did a very good job.
- The Clovehitch Killer (7.6/10)
This was a serial killer movie. I doubt it is based on true events but who knows. Worth watching if you are into mystery/crime. Movie came out in 2018 and I was surprised by the lack of recognition it received.
- Blue Story (7.8/10)
Blue story takes place in London where two best friends go to the same high school but live in neighboring London boroughs where gang wars are taking place. Definitely some sad scenes and deaths in the movie but executed very well. There were cool music elements featured in the movie as well.
- Chameleon (7.8/10)
A little freaky and disturbing at times but this movie was looked over in 2019 and needs to be seen more. Its rotten tomatoes scores are 100% and 94%. I recommend watching it. I just wish the film was a little longer as it was only 1 hour and 20 minutes.
- James Vs His future self (7.5/10)
This movie is about a scientist on the brink of inventing time-travel is halted when his future self begins to demand that he stops. It is listed as a comedy but it more of a drama first, then a comedy. It has 100% on rotten tomatoes from critics. More of a family movie in my opinion.
- A Good Woman is Hard to Find (7.2/10)
Solid all around. It is about a recently widowed mother who tries to find the reasoning behind her husband's death while also protecting her two kids. It was a good drama/action. Nothing too crazy. Above average.
- 1BR (7.4/10)
This is a high score for a horror film. There were no pop-outs. Just an interesting plot that has never been seen before. It is about a lonely women who moves into an apartment complex and realizes there are consequences to breaking the rules. There was a main story in this film, which I enjoyed, whereas some horror films are just trying to scare you with pop-outs with a poorly made plot.
- Swallow (6.8/10)
While the movie was produced well, the idea and concept of the film was too much for my liking. It was about a neglected housewife who develops pica, which is the irresistible urge to ingest inedible objects and materials. The acting and storyline were great but the concept was a too uncomfortable.
