"After escaping from a Michigan prison, a charming career criminal assumes a new identity in Canada and goes on to rob a record 59 banks and jewellery stores while being hunted by a police task force." This is a true story about Gilbert Galvan Jr (also known as The Flying Bandit). It was fun and fascinating to watch but also provided some comedy, romance, and character building.

This was a surprise to me but saw the amazing scores across every article I have seen. It offered genres of drama, action, music, comedy, romance, and some thriller. Two of the characters are extra strong in the film to symbolize their strength as revolutionaries. It is all in the language of Telugu and the movie is over 3 hours long. "A tale of two legendary revolutionaries and their journey far away from home. After their journey they return home to start fighting back against British colonialists in the 1920s." Definitely recommend watching on a larger screen and not a laptop or a phone.

Not having ever read the book and not knowing anything going into the film, I really enjoyed it. The acting and cinematography was on another level. "Abandoned as a girl, Kya raised herself in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina. For years, rumors of the marsh girl haunted Barkley Cove, isolating the sharp and resilient Kya from her community. Drawn to two young men from town, she opens herself to a new and startling world. However, when one of them is found dead, Kya immediately becomes the main suspect. As the case unfolds, the verdict as to what happened becomes increasingly unclear, threatening to reveal many secrets."

"Honor is an ambitious high school senior whose sole focus is getting into an Ivy League college, assuming she can first score the coveted recommendation from her guidance counselor, Mr. Calvin." A comedy worth watching this year. The actress Angourie Rice did a great job and the point of view of the film was unique. One of the better movies to finish out 2022.

This is a gory, action-packed drama that needs to be on the radar. A great story with twists and turns. "In the 1800s, a group of all-female warriors protects the African kingdom of Dahomey with skills and fierceness unlike anything the world has ever seen. Faced with a new threat, Gen. Nanisca trains the next generation of recruits to fight against a foreign enemy that's determined to destroy their way of life."

Skip. Not worth the time. However the visual effects were impressive. "After the collapse of Earth's ecosystem, Vesper, a 13-year-old girl struggling to survive with her Father, must use her wits, strength and bio-hacking abilities to fight for the future."

A comedy / drama about "a cruise for the super-rich sinks, leaving survivors, including a fashion model celebrity couple, trapped on an island." This film portrayed social hierarchy which is turned upside down, revealing the tawdry relationship between power and beauty. I thought it was a strange movie but entertained me enough. I don't know if it is enough to keep on your radar.

I couldn't finish this film. I could see its potential but it wasn't for me. It gave me the vibe of a play instead of a movie. It had so many famous people that it seemed like it was a fun side project instead of making a blockbuster. Some notable people were Chris Rock, Taylor Swift, Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, Denzel Washington Jr., Rami Malek, Robert Di Niro, Mike Myers, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Michael Shannon. "Set in the '30s, it follows three friends who witness a murder, become suspects themselves, and uncover one of the most outrageous plots in American history."

"Two Syrian sisters flee their war-torn home in Damascus, swim for hours in choppy Mediterranean seas to reach Greece as asylum seekers before going on to compete at the Rio Olympic Games." This is a true story which always makes a film better. A sports drama with toughness, spirit, and a rollercoaster of emotions.

Acting was hard to watch. Story and visual effects were cool just not executed well. "When an ancient troll is awakened in a Norwegian mountain, a ragtag group of heroes must come together to try and stop it from wreaking deadly havoc." Trending 2nd on Netflix at the moment but I wouldn't waste your time.

A rom-com that didn't impress but didn't disappoint. Basically only two actors for the entire film with a few other characters that make experiences. "A lonely college freshman feels alienated from his peers, but forges a strong connection with his resident assistant during a fraternity party." Not one necessary to watch.

Not sure what I just watched. Slow movie, not much context, and weird. "In rural Iceland, a childless couple discover a strange and unnatural newborn in their sheep barn. They decide to raise her as their own, but sinister forces are determined to return the creature to the wilderness that birthed her." Not worth the time.
