I watched 15 minutes and turned this off. Do not waste your time. "Unable to remember what happened during a bank heist which led to his brother's death, Frank goes on the run to find someone who knows what went down."

"Veteran detective Augustus Landor investigates a series of grisly murders with the help of a young cadet who will eventually go on to become the world-famous author Edgar Allan Poe." This is a top trending film on Netflix starring my favorite actor, Christian Bale. I thought the ending was perfect for the mystery aspect but as a whole the movie was slow. There are some better mystery / crime films out there.

This a psychological thriller / mystery / romance film in Korean so you have to watch with subtitles. It had some boring moments at times since you are just reading dialogue but the story was there and made well. "A detective investigating a man's death in the mountains ends up meeting and developing feelings for the dead man's mysterious wife in the course of his dogged sleuthing."

I really enjoyed the plot of the film but I thought the execution and ending could have been made a lot better. The suspense and mystery is top notch but also sometimes a bit slow. "The film, penned by Will Tracy and Seth Reiss, "focuses on a young couple who visits an exclusive destination restaurant on a remote island where the acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu, along with some shocking surprise."Deadline notes, "Fiennes plays the world-class chef who sets it all up and adds some unexpected ingredients to the menu planned. The action follows one particular A-list couple that takes part. I've heard Stone will play half of that couple."

This is a Comedy/Apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction starring Dylan O'Brien. It skews towards a younger audience but was a fun action / monster movie that flew under the radar. I never heard of it until I saw it scrolling on Amazon. "Seven years after the Monsterpocalypse, Joel Dawson, along with the rest of humanity, has been living underground ever since giant creatures took control of the land. After reconnecting over the radio with his high school girlfriend, Aimee, who is now 80 miles away at a coastal colony, Joel begins to fall for her again. As Joel realizes that there's nothing left for him underground, he decides to venture out to Aimee, despite all the dangerous monsters that stand in his way."

This is a true story based on a "Charismatic con man Jason Derek Brown and how he becomes wanted by the FBI after hatching his most elaborate scheme yet." I felt like nothing really happened in this movie worth noting until the last 25 minutes. Not one to keep on watchlist.

This film had great potential starring one of my favorite actors, Adam Driver, but flopped hard. Don't recommend watching even though it is trending on Netflix. "College professor Jack Gladney and his family's comfortable suburban life is upended when a nearby chemical leak causes "The Airborne Toxic Event," releasing a noxious black cloud over the region that forces the Gladney family to evacuate."

This is a very dark comedy / drama. Two friends realize how miserable they are and talk about committing suicide together. To fulfill this they spend a day together trying to do the things they always wanted to do. It was really well written, acted, and brings light to suicide prevention. "Two best friends, Val and Kevin, spend the last day of their lives together."

Not knowing much about Elvis, this was a good education for me. "From his rise to fame to his unprecedented superstardom, rock 'n' roll icon Elvis Presley maintains a complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker, over the course of 20 years. Central to Presley's journey and happiness is one of the most influential people in his life -- Priscilla." I thought Austin Butler did a great job on stage. It was a little long for my liking at a runtime of 2 hours and 39 minutes.

This was a little too silly for me. I thought the acting was horrible, but the concept was fun. "An elite team of mercenaries breaks into a family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone hostage inside. However, they aren't prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus is on the grounds." Definitely one of the better, more grown up Christmas Movies that has been made of recent years.

The shocking story also serves as a launching pad for the #MeToo movement, shattering decades of silence around the subject of sexual assault and harassment." This is an important film to watch showing the affects Harvey Weinstein caused and to help women come out in the future against sexual abuse, especially in the workplace where this is often an imbalance of power. I thought the acting and the story was powerful and emotional.

This is a good drama to have on your radar with some comedy. It is heartwarming coming-of-age / drama-romance story from the relatable perspective of an early 20s college graduate, trying to find himself. "A man who works as a bar mitzvah party host strikes up a unique friendship with a young woman and her teenage daughter."
