I was browsing through Hulu and saw this movie. When I looked it up, I thought it had good reviews. After the film, I ended up looking it up again, and I watched the wrong movie and this one had 17% score on rotten tomatoes compared to the other one which had 80% score. Definitely a pass on this one.

From the director who film Trained to Bussan, I had high expectations for this Korean film. This is a futuristic Sci-fi, which I would not recommend to most people. I thought the ending had great action but the beginning was a drama and over the top cheesy. The acting lines were a little cringey as well. "In a post-apocalyptic near-future, a researcher at an AI lab leads the effort to end a civil war by cloning the brain of a heroic soldier -- her mother."

Entertaining but silly. Not worth your time, however, Joe Keery (Steve Harrington from Stranger Things) did a great job in the role. "Desperate for an online following, a rideshare driver has figured out a deadly plan to go viral and he will stop at nothing to get his five minutes of fame."

While I thought this was well shot and written, the storyline and purpose I did not enjoy. The film illustrated a girl and her father on vacation and how depression was sinking into his life. It was a slow and sometimes dark movie. "Twenty years after their last holiday at a fading vacation resort, Sophie reflects on the rare time spent with her loving and idealistic father Calum. At 11-years-old, as the world of adolescence creeps into Sophie's view, Calum struggles under the weight of life outside of fatherhood. Sophie's recollections become a powerful and heartrending portrait of their relationship, as she tries to reconcile the father she knew with the man she didn't."

Only recommend if you are a horror fan. This will give you your yearly dose of demonic entities in this quick film. "The son of a Hasidic funeral director returns home with his pregnant wife in hopes of reconciling with his father. Little do they know that an ancient evil lurking inside a mysterious corpse has sinister plans for their unborn child."

A pyschological thriller that keeps the viewer wanting more. I thought the ending was great but not worth watching the rest of the film. "A fashion designer suffers from a mysterious illness that confounds her doctors and frustrates her husband. Help arrives in the form of a Filipino nanny who uses traditional folk healing to reveal a horrifying truth."

A 2009 film that went under my radar with a steller cast of Rashida Jones, Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, John Favreau, and Andy Samberg. If you are nostalgic for a comedy with some of your favorite actors of the 2000s era this one is for you. "Successful real-estate man Peter Klaven has it all: a great job, a beautiful home and a loving wife-to-be. Unfortunately, due to his devotion to both his work and fiancée Zooey, Peter has failed to make any friends. With his wedding fast approaching, the pressure is on to find a best man and so Peter embarks on several desperate attempts to find a best buddy."

This was some hot garbage. Not sure how the reviews were so high. I was bored, uncomfortable, and not satisfied with the acting or the plot. "A punk rock band becomes trapped in a secluded venue after finding a scene of violence. For what they saw, the band themselves become targets of violence from a gang of white-power skinheads, who want to eliminate all evidence of the crime."

A good heart felt Rom-Com that was too cheesy. "Two strangers believe in love but never seem to be able to find its true meaning. In a wild twist of events, fate puts each in the other's path on one stormy New Year's Eve." Just not worth your time.

This was the true story about the boys trapped in the cave that made headlines in 2018. "A rescue mission is assembled in Thailand where a group of young boys and their soccer coach are trapped in a system of underground caves that are flooding." It was suspenseful given the situation and what the divers had to endure in order to help save the soccer team. The great cast surprised me led by Colin Pharrell and Viggo Mortensen.

Mars One was in the Sundance Film Festival and received a lot of great recognition from movie critics. I was not a huge fan of how it was shot so it didn't seem fully like a movie. It is listed as a Drama / Narrative and in Portuguese. "A middle-class Black family in Brazil copes with the election of a far-right extremist president. The mother believes that she's cursed after an unexpected encounter, while her husband puts all of his hopes into their son's soccer career."

This was a romance / horror / drama film that moved pretty slowly. I thought it was really well made and the acting was spot on. I dont want to spoil what is was about but the plot caught me by surprise that isn't mentioned in the synopsis. "Love blossoms between a young woman on the margins of society and a disenfranchised drifter as they embark on a 3,000-mile odyssey through the backroads of America. However, despite their best efforts, all roads lead back to their terrifying pasts and a final stand that will determine whether their love can survive their differences."
