I stopped watching after 40 minutes. I couldn't get through it. Machine Gun Kelly's acting was horrible and most of the movie was him on a bus. "After robbing his former crime boss, a badly wounded man goes on the run with a duffle bag full of cash and drugs. After hopping a bus to the California desert, he must devise a plan to escape his pursuers."

This is a slow moving drama about alcoholism. It shows a great story of character development. Not usually my type of movie but it was really well acted and kept the viewer wanting more out of the main character. "Leslie, a West Texas single mother, struggles to provide for her son when she wins the lottery and a chance at a good life. But a few short years later the money is gone and Leslie is on her own living hard, she is forced to make a difficult choice."

This is a Chinese Sci-fi film released on Netflix. The second Wandering Earth received great scores so I wanted to watch the first one. I don't think I will be able to get to the second film since I couldn't finish the first.

"In April, 1940, the eyes of the world are on Narvik, a small town in northern Norway, a source of the iron ore needed for Hitler's war machine. Through two months of fierce winter warfare, the German leader is dealt with his first defeat." A good war movie but nothing out of the ordinary. It was important to know of Hitler's first defeat that I had no idea about and how civilians / soldiers had to hold their own against the Nazis.

This is a horror / slasher film that is a prequel to the movie X. I really enjoyed the way it was shot, emphasizing that it is the early 1900s. The acting was spot on by Mia Goth who plays Pearl. "Trapped on an isolated farm, Pearl must tend to her ailing father under the watch of her mother. Lusting for the glamorous life she's seen in movies, Pearl's temptations and repressions collide."

This was horrible. It was boring and hard to get through. As a fan of Viggo Mortensen, I had higher expectations but this turned out to be a flop. "As the human species adapts to a synthetic environment, the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. Accompanied by his partner, celebrity performance artist Saul Tenser showcases the metamorphosis of his organs. Meanwhile, a mysterious group tries to use Saul's notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution."

It was odd to see Jonah Hill in a romance film. The film showed humor in perspective of culture, which could be off-putting to a lot of viewers. A jewish family (Jonah Hill) and black family (Lauren London) coming together to accept the couples marraige. It is about "a new couple and their families reckon with modern love amid culture clashes, societal expectations and generational differences."

A silly horror that is not worth the time. "Margaret and Ben take a weekend trip with two longtime friends and their two young children. Ben soon suspects something sinister is afoot when the kids start behaving strangely after disappearing into the woods overnight." Much better options on my recommended hours page to choose from.

"The inspirational true story of Jesse Brown, the first Black aviator in U.S. Navy history, and his enduring friendship with fellow fighter pilot Tom Hudner. Helping to turn the tide in the most brutal battle in the Korean War, their heroic sacrifices ultimately make them the Navy's most celebrated wingmen." While it started really slow, the character development was great to witness. Jonathan Majors did a great job in this role and I can't wait to see him in Creed III coming out soon.

A romance drama that had really bad acting and was cheesy. Too much cheesiness these days for romance films. It received good scores but it did not match my expectations. "Grace feels like an outcast at a time when dating apps and casual hook-ups are the new norm. However, when she meets professional athlete Carter Stone, she starts to wonder if he's the perfect solution to her problem."

The entire movie takes place on a dash cam in the front of the car. "An adulterous rideshare driver tries to take his double life to the grave, but it only causes himself trouble on the streets of Hollywood." The driver's life is a disaster. He’s just one mixed-up text message away from a meltdown. He has a lot of significant others he tries to balance, while also being intoxicated. Not worth your time at all.

A sci-fi drama that was unique yet too slow for my liking. I would recommend black mirror episodes over this film. "When his young daughter's beloved companion, an android named Yang, malfunctions, Jake searches for a way to repair it. In the process, Jake discovers the life that has been passing before him as he reconnects with his wife and daughter."
