I could see how critics would like this film but it didn't cut it for me. The acting was horrible and effects were weak for a Sci-Fi. The plot was a little out there as well even for me. "As a future war between the human race and artificial intelligence rages on, ex-special forces agent Joshua is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI. The Creator has developed a mysterious weapon that has the power to end the war and all of mankind. As Joshua and his team of elite operatives venture into enemy-occupied territory, they soon discover the world-ending weapon is actually an AI in the form of a young child."

This is really hit or miss when I ask other people what they think. I enjoyed the plot but it was dark for some people. There were a lot of artistic elements which I don't normally enjoy but thought it fit the movie well. "Distraught by his classmate Oliver's unfortunate living situation, Felix, a rich student, invites him over to his estate. Soon, a series of horrifying events engulf Felix's family."

This film has been on the top of my list for a while since seeing previews. It is a classic coming of age drama with great acting led by Paul Giamatti. It was well written and brings up a lot of underlying struggles led through three main characters. "A curmudgeonly instructor at a New England prep school remains on campus during Christmas break to babysit a handful of students with nowhere to go. He soon forms an unlikely bond with a brainy but damaged troublemaker, and with the school's head cook, a woman who just lost a son in the Vietnam War."

This is the story of how Gamestop stock skyrocketed a couple years ago. I didn't know fully how it happened and this movie gives some background into that. However, it can't be taken too seriously since it has Pete Davidson, Seth Rogan, and Nick Offerman. It was well acted, a cool story, and kept my interest. Paul Dano did a great job in the lead role. "Dumb Money is the ultimate David vs. Goliath tale, based on the insane true story of everyday people who flipped the script on Wall Street and got rich by turning GameStop (yes, the mall videogame store) into the world's hottest company. In the middle of everything is regular guy Keith Gill (Paul Dano), who starts it all by sinking his life savings into the stock and posting about it. When his social posts start blowing up, so does his life and the lives of everyone following him. As a stock tip becomes a movement, everyone gets rich -- until the billionaires fight back, and both sides find their worlds turned upside down."

Entertaining movie yet bad acting. It was unique that most of the movie took place in one store. It was predictable but still caught my eye. Angus Cloud was one of the main leads. It got better over time but the beginning was hard to get through. "After a dispute over a winning lottery ticket turns into a deadly hostage situation, the witnesses must decide exactly how far they'll go--and how much blood they're willing to spill--for a cut of the $156 million."

I was shocked after watching this film to realize this is based on a true story. The actors did a great job and the underlying messages and foreshadowing throughout the movie were noticeable yet thrilling. The movie moved at a slow pace and it might be boring to certain audiences. "Twenty years after their notorious tabloid romance gripped the nation, Gracie Atherton-Yu and her husband Joe (twenty-three years her junior) brace themselves for their twins to graduate from high school. When Hollywood actress Elizabeth Berry comes to spend time with the family to better understand Gracie, who she will be playing in a film, family dynamics unravel under the pressure of the outside gaze."

I watched this on the plane which I don't recommend doing (plane crash movie). I was locked in to this film and was shocked I had never heard of this true story before. It is in Spanish but I watched it dubbed over in English and I still really enjoyed it. This film causes a lot of anxiety through what these people had to go through. "In 1972, Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which had been chartered to fly a rugby team to Chile, crashed in the heart of the Andes."

Entertaining film by Denzel. I liked the characters and the plot a lot more in this one than Equalizer two. The first movie I barely remember at this point. "Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he's done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends' protector by taking on the mafia."

Bad acting, plot, and predictable. I'll leave it at that after watching on the plane. "Special ops sniper Brandon Beckett and his legendary father look for a dark operative within the government, and take on Russian mercenaries and a yakuza-trained assassin."

A good plot but a little silly for me. The cast did a good job with their roles. It was an entertaining film just not not one to watch unless you are desperate for something with action and heart lifting moments. "When enemies from his past track him down, former elite government assassin Dan packs his wife, teen daughter, teen son, and 10-month-old baby into their minivan and takes off on an impromptu cross-country road trip to Las Vegas."

Critics gave this film a 25% on rotten tomatoes. Only if you are a hardcore Sci-Fi fan, would you enjoy this film. I think 90% of the population would think this is too much Sci-Fi and that is probably right. It had fun action and I was highly entertained on the plane and look forward to the sequel. "When a colony on the edge of the galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius, they dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighbouring planets to help them take a stand."

This is a comedy/drama but more so a just a drama. You need subtitles since the accents are pretty thick. Very average feel good film but nothing worth your time. "A successful British van salesman decides to open a bank that uses local money to fund local enterprises. However, he soon fights an uphill battle as he tries to convince the elite London-based financial authorities to grant him a new bank license."
