Nothing really captured my attention during this film. There was a lot of cringey moments which also meant the acting was on point for me to feel that way during it. Not worth something on your radar. "A mother and her teenage son can't seem to connect, yet they try to find that bond in other people. She latches on to a young boy she meets at her women's shelter, while her son falls in love with an extremely political student at his school."

A 1998 classic with Matt Damon and Ed Norton headlining. This flew under the radar for me and it was nice to see the actors in their prime thriving off this film. "Mike McDermott (Matt Damon) loses his money in a poker game against Russian gangster Teddy "KGB" (John Malkovich). Under pressure from his girlfriend, Jo (Gretchen Mol), he promises to quit gambling. This lasts until his friend, Lester "Worm" Murphy (Edward Norton), gets out of prison and needs to pay off an old debt. The pair come close to earning the money back but are caught cheating. Then Mike finds out the debt is owed to Teddy and makes one last-ditch effort to beat the Russian."

Not my cup of tea. I liked the plot but the acting and lines were not there. Don't need to watch on Netflix even though it is trending. "A London artist and his estranged son try to mend their relationship as they work together to repair a dilapidated house in Italy."

This 2003 film has been on my watchlist for over 7 years. I finally got around to and it does not disappoint. A steller RomCom that wasn't cheesy. "When aging womanizer Harry Sanborn (Jack Nicholson) and his young girlfriend, Marin (Amanda Peet), arrive at her family's beach house in the Hamptons, they find that her mother, dramatist Erica Barry (Diane Keaton), also plans to stay for the weekend. Erica is scandalized by the relationship and Harry's sexist ways. But when Harry has a heart attack, and a doctor (Keanu Reeves) prescribes bed rest at the Barry home, he finds himself falling for Erica -- who, for once, may be out of his league."

This film pleasantly surprised me but still not something to look out for. It was entertaining and I liked hearing about the story. I felt they didn't have to make it a comedy and it would have been better as a drama. The comedic aspect just made it seem silly when it is based on true events. "A frustrated suburban housewife and her best friend hatch an illegal coupon-club scheme that scams millions from corporations and delivers deals to legions of fellow coupon clippers. Hot on their trail is an unlikely duo -- a hapless loss-prevention officer and a determined U.S. postal inspector -- both looking to end their criminal enterprise."

This movie should have been up my alley but it was not done well. The acting was horrible and the plot was all over the place. It was all in Korean. "After a major earthquake, Seoul, South Korea, transforms into an apocalyptic wasteland where everything from civilization to law and order has collapsed."

Interesting plot but very poor execution. Not captivating and boring. I don't know why it is trending on Netflix but I was pass. "A New York City detective investigates the death of his daughter, who was murdered on her honeymoon in London, and discovers the existence of a serial killer."

Not the best movie. It was really dark and the plot had promise but it didn't end up executing the way I saw it in the end. "Randy is perfectly content to fade into the background, but when one of his co-workers goes on a sudden and violent rampage, he must face his fears and confront his troubled past to survive."

A high rating for a RomCom for me. A good plot with not horrible acting. Easy movie to pass the time. "Zoey is a brilliant college student who's determined to challenge the conventional ideas of love and dating. Her life soon gets turned upside down when an amnesiac mistakenly believes she's his girlfriend, who also happens to share the name Zoey."

This was really entertaining and I loved the unique plot. Jake Johnson directed and starred in the film. An easy quick film to watch with some downtime. "Tommy receives an invitation to win $1 million by playing a game where he must outwit hunters attempting to kill him. He realises the hunters can only attack him when he's alone, but none of his friends and family believe the game is real."

“The true story of Rickey Hill, the son of a travelling pastor who overcomes physical obstacles to pursue his dream of playing baseball in the major leagues.” This was entertaining but nothing that caught my attention. A feel good sports story that leaves you happy.

This film has been ranked by multiple sites to be the top movie of the year. It was all in French with some English here and there. It was a little long for me with all the subtitle reading but it had a great plot and tremendous acting.  Most of the movie took place in either a courtroom or one house which was unique. My only critique is that some scenes were very slow and boring. I don't think the film shocked me greatness but it was solid to watch. “A woman is suspected of her husband's murder, and their blind son faces a moral dilemma as the sole witness.”
