A really great coming of age story about a Taiwanese teen trying to fit in. Whether it is family, friends, or girls; it shows the insecurities someone might have at the point in life. "In 2008, during the last month of summer before high school begins, an impressionable 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy learns what his family can't teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love his mum."

A spooky season watch that has been on my radar for multiple years. All I can say it is the definition of fine. The main character having the name "Tree" is also bizarre. "Tree Gelbman is a blissfully self-centered collegian who wakes up on her birthday in the bed of a student named Carter. As the morning goes on, Tree gets the eerie feeling that she's experienced the events of this day before. When a masked killer suddenly takes her life in a brutal attack, she once again magically wakes up in Carter's dorm room unharmed. Now, the frightened young woman must relive the same day over and over until she figures out who murdered her."

I didn't like one thing about this film. The plot was wack and it was too gruesome. I also didn't like the camera work. All around did not make the cut. "When a group of teens takes a locket from a collapsed fire tower in the woods, they unwittingly resurrect the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year old crime. The undead killer soon embarks on a bloody rampage to retrieve the stolen locket, methodically slaughtering anyone who gets in his way."

New film on Netflix that had a scary but entertaining plot. I thought it had a lot of potential but the movie was too quick and surface level. I think if they went into more of the characters background this could have been a better film. " When a killer injects her with a paralytic agent, a woman must run, fight and hide before her body completely shuts down."

Funny moments but wasn't my type of movie. It was a bit too silly for me. The plot was great, I just couldn't get behind the whole movie. "Thelma Post is a 93-year-old grandmother who loses $10,000 to a con artist on the phone. With help from a friend and his motorized scooter, she soon embarks on a treacherous journey across Los Angeles to reclaim what was taken from her."

I got through 30 minutes before turning it off. A solid cast but they didn't fit their characters well. A pass for sure. " On a remote Greek island, twin brothers find themselves entangled in a tumultuous love triangle. A troubled detective known as 'The Jealousy Man' is brought in to investigate the case."

A film with a stacked cast that was solid but nothing great. It was emotional but I didn't connect the characters like I thought I would. The plot felt very surface level. " Siblings Sam (Tobey Maguire) and Tommy Cahill (Jake Gyllenhaal) are as far apart as brothers can be; while Sam serves his country as a Marine, Tommy is a drifter who just got out of prison. When Sam is shot down and presumed dead in Afghanistan, Tommy vows to take care of Sam's wife, Grace (Natalie Portman), and his children. Tommy and Grace become close, and when Sam unexpectedly returns home, the consequences of their actions threaten the foundation of the entire family."

A 2011 stacked cast in a financial suspense movie. Nothing crazy but good. If you don't like finance or understand it, this movie is not for you. " When an analyst uncovers information that could ruin them all, the key players (Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany) at an investment firm take extreme measures to control the damage."

This is a French speaking Canadian film. It has an intricate plot which can be confusing at times. It was a very dark movie as well. Good performances all around but it be all in subtitles, a bit confusing, and dark, I wouldn't recommend to an average movie watche r. " Kelly-Anne is obsessed with the high-profile case of a serial killer, and reality blurs with her morbid fantasies. She goes down a dark path to get the missing video of the murder of a young girl, to whom Kelly-Anne bears a disturbing resemblance."

I didn't think this was as good as the reviews were. It was suspenseful, weird, and thrilling. It was a short film but at the same time felt too long somehow since there was no large plot. If you're a horror / thriller fan, you may enjoy. If not, I would pass. " Nothing is what it seems when a twisted one-night stand spirals into a serial killer's vicious murder spree."

A 1986 horror starring Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis. For the year it was produced it didn't seem that outdated. They did a good job with the graphics. A weird concept but I enjoyed it. " When scientist Seth Brundle completes his teleportation device, he decides to test its abilities on himself. Unbeknownst to him, a housefly slips in during the process, leading to a merger of man and insect."
