A 2024 Comedy/Crime. Usually this combo of genre doesn't generate the highest reviews for myself. It was really solid, close to recommending. " Don is strong-armed by mobsters to execute a hit on Phyllis, but instead the two hatch a plan to steal money from the people who want her dead."

A 2004 Drama / Romance starring Natalie Portman, Julia Roberts, Clive Owen, and Jude Law. Okay acting, decent plot, good cast but for some reason I wasn't that interested. I thought the acting was a rollercoaster of good and horrible performances by everyone. " Alice (Natalie Portman), an American stripper who has moved to London, meets Dan (Jude Law) on the street. While looking at him, a taxi hits her. After taking her to the hospital, Dan begins dating Alice. A year later, Dan -- who has written a novel about Alice -- is bored. As the years pass, both relationships disintegrate."

This is a 1997 drama that was outdated, boring, and uncomfotable to watch. I don't recommend. This 2014 film has been on my watchlist for a while. I think I read the book in high school if that rings a bell. It wasn't my style of film. Different language, black and white, and I haven't had much success liking Vampire movies unless it's Twilight. A 1992 Action/Thriller starring Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan. While it was a little outdated it was still enjoyable and have a good plot. It's always cool to see older actors in their prime 30 years ago. " When former CIA agent Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford) hampers an IRA terrorist attack in London, he kills one of the terrorists. The dead man's brother, another member of the group named Sean Miller (Sean Bean), is arrested but quickly escapes. Vowing revenge against Ryan, Miller travels to the United States, where he forces Ryan's wife (Anne Archer) and daughter (Thora Birch) into a car accident that badly injures them. This convinces Ryan to rejoin the CIA in order to track down Miller."

A 1986 Horror/Mystery that felt a bit outdated. I also can't see anyone else besides Anthony Hopkins playing Hannibal Lecter so that threw me off seeing Brian Cox in that role. A 1986 Martin Scorsese film that has been on my watchlist for a while and totally worth it. I was locked in on the plane ride with great performances from Paul Newman and Tom Cruise. " Former pool hustler "Fast Eddie" Felson (Paul Newman) decides he wants to return to the game by taking a pupil. He meets talented but green Vincent Lauria (Tom Cruise) and proposes a partnership. As they tour pool halls, Eddie teaches Vincent the tricks of scamming, but he eventually grows frustrated with Vincent's showboat antics, leading to an argument and a falling-out. Eddie takes up playing again and soon crosses paths with Vincent as an opponent. "

I don't know what I just watched but I heavily enjoyed it. There was a lot of killing and a star studded cast. I will say this film isn't for everyone. From what I read, it is about Oakland in 1987 and different viewpoints of cultural shifts.
